Secondary Red has seven fantastic students. All students are eager about learning and forming strong friendships with their classmates and other members of the school community. Our class motto, which we try to live by is “Its always nice to be nice”. The rich and varied learning experiences, together with a positive and fun learning environment has benefited everyone.
Our class programme is called the New Junior Cert Level 1 programme. (To learn more visit https://www.jct.ie/l1lp/news_events ) It is a new programme, launched in Sept to cater for students, who need considerable support with learning. The programme comprises six areas of learning (called Priority Learning Units). These are
Communication, language an Literacy
Numeracy
Personal Care and Wellbeing
Being part of a Community
The Arts
Physical Education
These six priority learning units identified offer realistic targets that we feel will help structure teaching and promote an active engaging approach to learning
In addition students will be required to complete short courses, Around the World in Eighty Days, Food Glorious Food, Looking Good, Being Great
