Welcome back to Secondary Green!
We have been super busy in our class since we returned back from our summer holidays! It has been an exciting few weeks, we have been taking lots of nature walks, and looking out for the many signs of autumn around the canal and our local community. We have used leaves, acorns and various other natural materials to decorate our classroom and create artwork. We have been enjoying the mild weather, getting our daily walks and stretching done in the yard each morning. The students have been spending a lot of time making self-portrait artworks too! Each student had a headshot photo taken of them, and cut their photo down the middle. They then drew the missing half of their face, and the results were amazing! It was very interesting to notice how they see themselves. We also made pop art self portraits using a range of bright colours, in the style of Andy Warhol! At the moment, we are gearing up for October, learning some new dance moves for our favourite Halloween song, The Monster Mash, and dressing up in our spooky fancy dress clothes!
