Trip to Enniscrone June 2022

What a wonderful overnight adventure we had on the 1st and 2nd of June. We set off from school bright and early and were blessed with a beautiful sunny day. After a few pick ups along the way we arrived at our first destination Knocknarea in Co. Sligo. The fun and laughter changed to one of major surprise when they all saw the height of Knocknarea and that they had to climb to the top to see Queen Maeve’s grave. However I was so so proud of each and everyone of them for getting to the top. We took our time and had a lovely picnic atop of the mountain. Next we set off again to Enniscrone to our accommodation. After a well earned rest we took off to the pier to do S.U.P. boarding .Some of the students had never tried this before and had great fun getting to grips with trying to stand up on the boards. We all had a dip afterwards too. When we had ‘dolled’ ourselves up we went for dinner in the Ocean Sands Hotel. Once the food came everyone was very quiet a good sign that all were very hungry .To finish the evening off we went for a lovely stroll along the beach. After 10:00 we arrived back at our accommodation and played some games. Next morning after a full Irish breakfast we set off to do a cliff walk. W e stopped in Supermacs Carrick on Shannon on the way home for lunch before arriving back to school. This was an action packed adventure and it was a great bonding exercise. The students pushed themselves to the limit and discovered a lot about themselves.
