I enjoyed serving at the coffee morning because I got to meet lovely people!

Donations!

On the 23rd of January 2020 St. Brigid’s School, led by Secondary Purple, hosted a Coffee Morning in aid of The North Westmeath Hospice. We contacted the North Westmeath Hospice and collected banners, coffee, T-Shirts and posters.

We prepared by making our own, chocolate biscuit cake, brownies, lemon squares, rice crispy buns, scones, and fairy cakes! We also prepared Sunflower Art to decorate the hall as it is a symbol of the hospice. Tidying and cleaning were a must before our invited visitors from the community arrived.

Students prepared ,with health and safety, in mind and made sure their uniforms and aprons were pressed and clean. All the treats were carefully laid out on serving tables, that the community centre graciously provided. Students served coffee, tea, and treats with professionalism and care.

The events was an overwhelming success raising €800.00 towards the Hospice Foundation. The hall was full of happy faces and many old friends. The clean-up went smoothly because everyone in the class worked together. We can’t wait for next years fundraiser!
