Welcome to primary 1.
Welcome to our Primary 1. We are delighted to have you here and we can't wait to show you all the wonderful things we do.
In our reception class, we provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for our young learners with special educational needs. Our primary focus is on supporting each child's individual needs and helping them develop essential skills for their future.
One of the key aspects of our reception class is promoting social and emotional development. We encourage our students to interact with their peers and build positive relationships. Through various activities such as circle time, group projects, and play-based learning, we foster a sense of belonging and encourage communication and cooperation.
We also place a strong emphasis on developing early literacy and numeracy skills. Our curriculum includes engaging activities and games that help our students develop phonics knowledge, reading comprehension, and basic math concepts. We believe in making learning fun and meaningful, so we incorporate hands-on experiences and visual aids to support our students' learning journey.
In addition to academic development, we also focus on enhancing fine and gross motor skills. Our students engage in activities such as drawing, cutting, and threading to improve their hand-eye coordination and dexterity. We also provide ample opportunities for physical activities, such as outdoor play and sensory exploration, to develop their gross motor skills.
Furthermore, Primary 1 is committed to fostering independence and self-help skills. We encourage our students to take responsibility for their belongings, develop personal hygiene routines, and engage in everyday tasks with guidance and support. By promoting independence, we aim to empower our students and prepare them for future challenges.
In summary, our class is a place where each child is valued, supported, and celebrated. We provide a nurturing environment that focuses on social and emotional development, early literacy and numeracy skills, fine and gross motor development, and fostering independence. We are dedicated to helping our students thrive and reach their full potential.
